In case you were wondering...

Here's a list of the ships, in chronological order, that I served aboard during my Navy career. I probably have more than your typical sailor, because I was only stationed aboard ships on temporary duty. This meant that when one ship left the theater, I was honored to "cross deck" to the ship that came to relieve the original ship.

Next to several of the aircraft carriers, you'll notice that I have appended the term (fly). This means that I flew off of these carriers aboard the EA-3B aircraft. I accumulated 44 "cats" (catapults off of the carrier) and 43 "traps" (landing aboard the carrier) in the A-3 Whale during these four deployments. The cats and traps don't match because one of my flights originated on the Nimitz and landed in Naples, Italy.

I've also appended a few key notes, mostly indicating when ships were decommissioned.

USS Saratoga (CV-60) (Fly) Decommissioned: 20 August 1994

USS Nimitz (CVN-68) (Fly)

USS LaSalle (AGF-3)

USS Nicholson (DD-982) Decommissioned: 18 December 2002

USS Boone (FFG-28)

USS Enterprise (CVN-65) (Fly)

USS Independence (CV-62) (Fly) Decommissioned: 30 September 1998

USS Chandler (DDG-996) Decommissioned: 23 September 1999 at Detyens Shipyard, Charleston, SC for reactivation and transfer to Taiwan as the Wu Teh

USS Forrestal (CV-59) Decommissioned: 11 September 1993 (eight years to the day before the infamous Islamist terrorist attacks on the US)

USS Eisenhower (CVN-69)

USS Silversides (SSN-679) Decommissioned: 22 July 94

USS John F Kennedy (CV-67) (Desert Shield)

USS Dallas (SSN-700) (Desert Shield)

USS Finback (SSN-670) Decommissioned: 28 March 1997 (This is the boat where I "qualified" as a submariner, which is why I can wear the designated dolphin breast insignia) (Desert Storm)

USS Grayling (SSN-646) Decommissioned: 18 July 1997 (Desert Storm)

I also accumulated over 2000 hours flying in EP-3Es in the Mediterranean theater, mostly out of Athens, Greece, but also out of Sigonella, Sicily.

I merely post this because I finally documented all of the information. This isn't intended to be a "see how great I am" post or anything like that. I just wanted to document what ships I served aboard, and posted it in case it was of interest to any of my friends.
